타로 78장의 구성

완전한 타로 덱은 두 그룹으로 나뉩니다.

  • 메이저 아르카나 22장 — 광대(0)부터 세계(21)까지. 인생의 큰 흐름과 보편적 원형을 다루는 카드로, 리딩에서 등장하면 특별한 무게감을 갖습니다.
  • 마이너 아르카나 56장 — 일상의 감정·상황·행동을 반영하는 카드. 완드(Wands, 불·의지·창조), 컵(Cups, 물·감정·관계), 소드(Swords, 바람·지성·갈등), 펜타클(Pentacles, 흙·물질·현실) 4가지 슈트로 구성되며, 각 슈트는 에이스(Ace)부터 10까지의 숫자 카드 10장과 페이지·나이트·퀸·킹 코트 카드 4장을 포함합니다.

마이너 아르카나 4가지 슈트의 특성

  • 완드(Wands) — 불의 원소. 열정, 창의력, 야망, 행동력을 상징합니다. 사업·목표·에너지와 관련된 상황에서 자주 등장합니다.
  • 컵(Cups) — 물의 원소. 감정, 관계, 직관, 상상력을 나타냅니다. 사랑·인간관계·내면세계를 다룰 때 두드러집니다.
  • 소드(Swords) — 바람의 원소. 지성, 분석, 갈등, 결단을 상징합니다. 어려운 진실·긴장·커뮤니케이션과 관련이 깊습니다.
  • 펜타클(Pentacles) — 흙의 원소. 물질, 현실, 재정, 건강, 안정을 반영합니다. 직업·돈·실용적 결과와 연결됩니다.

학습 모드 사용 방법

  • 갤러리: 78장의 카드를 한 화면에 펼쳐 보며 이미지·이름·키워드를 훑습니다. 처음 타로를 접할 때 전체 구성을 파악하는 데 적합합니다.
  • 정방향 퀴즈: 카드 이미지가 표시되면 이름을 맞힙니다. 맞히면 다음 카드로 넘어가고, 틀리면 정답을 확인하며 반복합니다.
  • 역방향 퀴즈: 정방향 의미에 더해 역방향(카드가 뒤집혔을 때의 해석)까지 함께 학습합니다. 실제 리딩에서 역방향 카드를 다룰 수 있는 수준으로 끌어올리는 심화 모드입니다.

78장을 효율적으로 외우는 방법

78장은 한 번에 외우려 하면 부담스럽습니다. 다음 순서로 나눠서 접근하면 훨씬 수월합니다.

This page is a learning trainer for all 78 tarot cards. It offers three modes: a gallery that presents every card with its image and keywords in reference format, a classic quiz that asks you to name cards by image, and a reverse quiz that adds reversed meanings. Unlike the daily fortune page, this tool is designed for building up a working knowledge of all 78 cards — names, keywords, and upright/reversed meanings — through repetition.

The Structure of the 78-Card Deck

A complete tarot deck divides into two groups.

  • Major Arcana (22 cards) — The Fool (0) through The World (21). These represent life's large themes and universal archetypes. When a Major Arcana card appears in a reading, it carries particular significance.
  • Minor Arcana (56 cards) — The everyday emotions, situations, and actions. Four suits: Wands (fire, will, creativity), Cups (water, emotion, relationships), Swords (air, intellect, conflict), Pentacles (earth, material reality, stability). Each suit contains ten numbered cards (Ace through 10) plus four court cards (Page, Knight, Queen, King).

The Four Suits of the Minor Arcana

  • Wands — Fire element. Passion, creativity, ambition, and action. Tends to appear in matters of enterprise, goals, and energy.
  • Cups — Water element. Emotion, relationships, intuition, and imagination. Prominent in matters of love, connection, and the inner life.
  • Swords — Air element. Intellect, analysis, conflict, and decision. Associated with difficult truths, tension, and communication.
  • Pentacles — Earth element. Material reality, finances, health, and stability. Linked to career, money, and practical outcomes.

How to Use the Learning Modes

  • Gallery: Browse all 78 cards laid out together — image, name, keywords. Best for getting an overview of the full deck when starting out.
  • Classic Quiz: A card image appears; name it. Correct answers advance to the next card; incorrect answers show the answer for review before continuing.
  • Reverse Quiz: Adds reversed meanings (the interpretation when a card appears upside-down in a reading). A step up for those who want to handle reversed cards in actual readings.

An Efficient Approach to Learning All 78 Cards

Tackling all 78 at once is overwhelming. A phased approach works much better.

  1. Browse the Major Arcana 22 in gallery mode first — link each number, name, and one core keyword
  2. Run the Major Arcana classic quiz on repeat until names and images click
  3. Move through the Minor Arcana suit by suit in gallery mode (Wands → Cups → Swords → Pentacles)
  4. Add Minor Arcana quizzes → merge into full 78-card quiz repetition
  5. Graduate to the reverse quiz
